The Fémina brand of exquisite praline chocolates was launched in 1904 and was marketed to tempt female consumers in particular. The floral pattern and blue and white colours, symbolising modesty and virtue and reminiscent of the Virgin Mary, evoke traditional Western images of femininity in the early 20^th century.
