This little pot bears the Cumberland Dairy Co. logo and was typically found in England in the late 19th century. This dairy company was created in 1881 by Thomas Carrick of Low Row in North Yorkshire and, according to the daily newspaper the Newcastle Courant, in 1882 the company produced 482 371 gallons of milk, 175 407 lbs of butter and 361 779 lbs of cheese.
