8 x 50 x 13 cm This iron was used during the 18th century to make rose-shaped doughnuts in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. It became obsolete in the 1960s when such sweets were deemed too fatty and thereby no longer profitable for bakers and pastry makers. Since then, such doughnuts were only made in homes which still had such a utensil at hand.
